We hear about Simon's being compelled to help, probably because
he — and his sons, Alexander and Rufus joined the Christian
movement. Was it as a result of having borne Christ's cross?

Remember all who have helped you to bear burdens, and pray for all those
whose work brings them alongside people who are carrying a heavy load.
